PHOENICIA, Tyre. Elagabalus. AD 218-222. Æ Dichalkon (29mm, 15.51 g, 12h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Hexastyle temple, containing Tyche-Astarte standing facing, holding scepter and placing hand on trophy to left; to right, crowning Victory on column; in exergue, lighted altar between palm frond and murex shell. Rouvier 2362; AUB –; BMC 404-5 var. (palm tree instead of palm frond). Near VF, earthen green patina, light pit on the reverse.
